BlackBerry made by Research in Motion fell into third place in the list of best selling phones in the U.S. market, while Apple's iPhone climbed into second place behind Google's Android phone, according to recent reports.
According to research firm ComScore, BlackBerry mobile phone has become the second most popular smartphone platform in the U.S. since January. Previously, RIM is in the top position before taking over Google's Android platform.
Over the last three months or the end of April, Android has a market share of 36.4 percent, the iPhone by 26 percent and RIM fell to third place with 25.7 percent.
Earlier, in the three months ended January 31, RIM's market share was 30.4 percent, according to ComScore on Friday.
ComScore said the U.S. smart phone users around 74.6 million people in the three months ended April, up 13 percent from the previous three-month period.
Behind Google, Apple, and RIM, there is a Microsoft Windows Phone with 6.7 percent market share in the same period, down 8 percent from the previous period. HP experienced the same fate that Palm has a market share of only 2.6 percent from 3.2 percent the previous period.
