United States International Trade Commission (U.S. ITC) will investigate alleged violations of patents, which allegedly carried out Apple Inc.
This investigation is based on the company filed the lawsuit that the Taiwanese mobile phone maker, HTC Corporation, August 16, 2011. The lawsuit was perfected on September 7, 2011.
As quoted from a press release on the official website of the U.S. ITC, the investigation will be done by considering a number of things. "The ability of communication devices, components, and related software," the statement was written on those releases.
Products to be investigated are computers, tablets, and smartphones. Based on HTC's lawsuit, Apple was accused of patent infringement based on communication skills, components, and related software.
HTC HTC assess Apple use the patent without permission for a number of Apple products. Because of that Apple will be the respondents in this investigation.
Impact of Acquisitions
Previously, as quoted by Business Week, HTC sued Apple for violating nine patents purchased from Google's HTC. Four of the nine patents that are patents formerly owned by Motorola, but Motorola's move to Google since Google acquired.
However, a Google spokesman based in California, Jim Prosser, declined to comment when asked about the reason Business Week Google's purchase of nine patents by HTC.
As quoted from the pages of the BBC, one of the patents alleged to Apple by HTC is a wi-fi capability and processor communication technology. Apple accused of using a patent on a computer and mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) are produced.
